Instead of the concealed carry purse the instructor I had also stressed someone grabbing your bag off your person & he suggested the fanny bag around your waist, there are some patterns for those just Google it.

I like that pattern. I think I will probably make it after my CCW comes through. Definitely cheaper than the leather ones and since I will carry it crossbody, I don' t worry too much.

I'll look for patterns at the International Quilt Festival in Houston beginning of November for you.

Pistol packing quilters! I found this on Amazon.com and it really works well in my regular purse. I had a CC purse for a few years, but wanted something with more style and now I can use whatever purse I want. I like that when I open my purse to get out my wallet, all you see is this pretty purple batik case that looks like a cosmetic bag.

It depends on the situation. If I'm running routine errands or going to Starbucks in safe areas, I have my purse with my weapon in it. If I'm going downtown at night for a concert or if I'm walking my dog in a park or at night, I have my smaller weapon in a pocket or a CC waist pack.

This is the pattern that I am using to make my sister-in-law a purse for Christmas. She owns a business and carries when she is closing and taking the deposit to the back at night.

I saw one hanging in a display at the Quilt Market in Houston last year (the part for wholesalers before the festival opens). It wasn't at the Festival part, though. If I wind up at the Market, I'll get the info for you.
