    Default Pattern advice please

I just purchased two layer cake packs from Missouri star and the blocks are so beautiful that I can't imagine cutting them up. Some of them I can cut but some would have the pattern destroyed by cutting. Can anyone recommend a pattern that uses at least some full size layer cake blocks .

Check Jenny from Missouri Stars you-tube videos. She does lots of patterns using their pre-cuts.

Put them on point and do a pretty sashing. Use the less graphic ones for the 1/2 squares on the sides.

Cozy Quilts has lots of patterns for layer cakes.

I like their Cake Mix (maybe because I love cakes). LOL
However this one uses 1 layer cake + 1 jelly roll.
Maybe you can exchange the layer cake for a jelly roll.

I agree with Dakotomaid about putting them on point. Just buy a neutral background or jelly roll for sashing and use the pieces of layer cake you aren't really crazy about and cut them into 2 1/2" cornerstones. It would be a striking quilt. I have layer cakes that I can't cut into either. I think I will do this very same thing! Thanks Dakotomaid for the idea!

The Slide Show pattern by Atkinson Design would be a nice one too.
    Here are some examples.

MSQC has the huge tumbler template that fits layer cakes.
