Default Pattern Help

Good Day to you all! Hope your Christmas was peaceful and fun!
I need to find where I can purchase this pattern. A friend sent me the picture and said it reminded her of me...don't you know I just got to make it now! Thanks in advance!

I first searched for bargello flag patterns & then found this one after doing a search for "fractured flag pattern".

It is a bargello, so it shouldn't be that hard to draft. I made a similar one in a class, but we just followed directions - no pattern. If you have a flag handy, you can figure out the proportion of the area for the stars and the stripes. The stars will be a square, the stripes look to be 2.5" strips. My stars were not cut in the bargello, just the stripes. Can't lay my hands on the flag right now, but we made it in 4 hours.

Just found this link -- the original pattern is gone.

Here is a pattern -- not quite the same but close

Just found this and it is free:

In looking at the original photo,it looks like someone just cut up a flag and sewed it back together with the additional fabric on the top and bottom.

quiltingcandy, went back to look closer at the photo and I think you might be right about the use of a real flag. Is that proper to use a real flag, don't think I could cut up the flag.

QuiltnLady1, I have made one using directions like the one on this link, very easy to make with all straight seams.

Jane Quilter, I have a flag quilt very similar to the one you showed that I made years ago. At the time the pattern was no longer available. Everyone who sees it loves it. It is hanging in my entry foyer. Mine used 6 different reds, whites and blues.
