Pattern Suggestions
Good Day,
My very grown son is getting married for the first time. Although I have already made him a bargello bed quilt, I do want to make something special for he and his bride. I'm thinking a large "couch" quilt for them to snuggle under as she uses a comforter on the bed. Years ago, he saw the bargello in one of my quilt magazines and requested that I make that for him, so that tells me that he likes quilts that are out of the ordinary. She is very easy going so whatever I chose she will think is fantastic. I want to use earth tones to go with their furniture. So far I am considering "Thinking outside the block" and one called Straits of Georgia that I have made before. Do you have any other great suggestions? Thank you.

First of all congratulations for your son! now for the quilt I love your choice of thinking outside the block (I made one of left overs of a log cabin quilt I made) but remember it is a square and kind of not enough for two people to cuddle with unless you make it bed size. That said if you like log cabins (they are my favorite :-), then it would be really nice option as you can easily use your choice of neutral colors and you get many variations of the blocks.
