I would check out some crazy quilt patterns. Most are made of silks and have wonderful pattern. I too have collected many and plan to use them in a crazy quilt pattern. Try www.crazyquilt.com for a peek at some ideas. Good luck. :D

Hi, A lady in our area collected mens ties from all the Dr's at the hospital and made a quilt using them . The pattern she used was the fan, it turned out beautiful and the very end of the tie. the smallest part she used to make a pointy border. Very effective and the quilt now is framed and hangs in the hall of the annex to the hospital. By the way, it is king size. Marge
