you can type the initials into a search box on the board and find out what the initials stand for...we all have had that learning curve...sometimes I still have to look them up and scratch my head thinking what-the-heck?

I have done this one simple quilt using the snowball block and this other one I don't remeber what it's called (churn dash?) that I thought was a good showcase for fussy cut flowers.

And there was a mystery started last year by a member on this board that was also great to showcase a beautiful floral http://www.quiltingboard.com/picture...d-t114058.html
you can always make less pieced blocks and add more of the floral fabric in an X fashion or any other arrangements you like. If you are interested in this pattern, do a seach for "Mysi Mystery" on the board, yardage requirments and clues (5 total I believe) will come up, and also a link to her blog where clues are also posted.
Hope this gives you ideas and I'd love to see what you come up with. I love Fall fabrics and large florals.

Here is very pretty quilt using large prints from Hoffman. It is a free pattern.

I am getting ready to make it using only one large print instead of four.
Hope you find the pattern right for you,
Angie

I was wondering, too, about all of the abbreviations and acronyms. Then I stumbled upon this link. Or just put "acronym" in the search field.

But it really would be helpful on quilting patterns for people to use the full name, because I can't imagine that they're all listed.

A book that I love - took a class on this pattern at City Quilters in NYC - is " 9-Patch Pizzazz" by Judy Sisneros - works really great for large floral prints and any big print really. Have fun with your big print fabric.
