Default Patterns and Steam a Seam Lite 2

i am very confused about the whole process! I have watched several videos and that seem to be no help to me at all. They seem to show only symertral shapes which is no use to me. I'm working on a row-by-row pattern which has a water pump. Do I need to draw this piece in reverse to make it work?

Totally confused and in need of help. I have never used Steam-a-Seam product before.

Yes you draw it in reverse. The steam a seam will be put on the back of your fabric and your drawing will be left on the paper side on the back of you fabric as a cutting guide

YOu might read pattern instructions before deciding which way to orient your pattern. I did a wall hanging that was all iron on appliqué and the pattern came drawn in the reverse. This was really great with so many pieces. Otherwise cjsews is right- reverse the design.

When using ANY fusible, you do need to reverse your pattern.

UNLESS the designer already reversed the pieces for you!
