Isn't that such a great feeling? If there could be a lot more of that going on in the world, I think things could go so much smoother and nicer!

That is how I learned...a friend come over last year and we both made a quilt. she had made them before but not me...I did not even know how to quilt. Last weekend I started to teach my daughter inlaw. and now my good friend that I haven't seen in years wants to learn...I love the quilting world...its a great way to spend time with friends and family.

That is great! I am slowly getting my daughter hooked, but she has two boys that are very busy with scouting (thank heavens!). She is also a teacher's aide and is always picked for extra projects at school. I am sure when her boys are much older she will have the time and will be glad for everything I have shown her.

Pam, that is what it is all about. Passing it on, loving people, helping others. That is awesome. What kind of cutter do you have?

How wonderful. I have a few friends who always say they want to learn and say they are afraid. Of what, I don't know. They also remind me that they could never do that!

How disappointing it is to not even try. I'm glad you are able to give this great gift to someone.
    peace :D

Pam, you are a sweet and generous person. We need a 'like' button on our board. :)

Robert, I have the June Tailor Shape Cut. It has slits that you insert your rotary cutter into to cut perfect strips. Mine is 12x12 with slits every 1/2 inch. If I was going to buy another I would look for a larger one. You can buy the size like mine at JoAnn's and Walmart. I think you have to buy the larger ones over the internet. There is one with 1/4 inch slits that is larger called the Shape Cut Pro. Walmart.com had the best price for that one.
