Bella...I'm happy for you that you will be getting a new cutting mat. I've also got one that must be defective and just figured that I'm just out the money. Mine is only a small one but still...Because of this...Mom bought me a Fiskars mat that so far I'm not having any problems with. I also have a June Taylor mat that is really hard on rotary blades. (won't be getting another of those as they wear out soooo fast. )

I'm disappointed with Olfa  so will stick with Fiskars from now on. :)

    That is wonderful news!!!

It's nice to know that there is a company out there away of how much we quilters can talk amongst each other and affect their business. Yay! I will once more consider buying Olfa mats.

    Hi,

Glad Olfa is replacing your mat.
Does anyone have any cures for the smell of a new mat. The whole room stinks and has since I put the new mat in there 3 weeks ago. How long will it take for the smell to leave???

    Thanks,
    Bailey

So glad you got a response...that alone will make me consider them for my next mat..

BTW...I've heard that you can take the mat outdoors for a few days and the smell will go away, but I haven't tried it.
