I am really surprised that the Amish and/or Mennonite have their quilts pieced by someone other than their own. That is kind of a disappointment to me, I have always had great respect for their way of life and when I have gone to Amish areas I have really admired their hand work....now I will have to ask if the tops are their own work or someone else's........I guess the "electric sewing machine" does make the work go faster, for the Amish-I think the Mennonites are allowed to have electric power.......

Anything smaller than a baby quilt I'm okay with but the larger sizes scare me.
What would you charge for an unfinished quilt top?

She does make her own tops, but it is a real time saver to not have to make the top also, especially when you just want to practice.

Go on R-Bay under quilt tops. There are pages and pages. I buy alot as they have such nice fabrics in alot of cases. Plus I am new at quilting(or trying to) I know how to put the quilt together but not sure if I will ever learn how to quilt or even free motion quilting. I tie the quilts.
