    Default Perfect fabric shopping experience!

A friend gave me a $20 gift card to a local fabric store and also a $25 VISA gift card. So off to the fabric store I went.

There was a sale on, and I browsed the aisles. I was mostly interested in getting some solids in just the right shades of yellow and gray. I took a couple of bolts of yellow around the store, matched them up to other fabrics I liked, and settled on the perfect yellow. I couldn't find any light gray, only dark, so I moved on to patterns. I found two fabrics on the sale table that spoke to me. As I worked my way up to the cutting table, I found the perfect gray placed in a section of red/gray/black fabrics.

I ordered just enough to use all of my credit plus $1.31, which I dished out in change from my wallet. By the time I left the store, I couldn't even tell what time of day it was. It felt like I'd been away for hours; it was a great feeling.

    I love shopping for fabric!

Good for you! I love losing myself in a fabric store as well. People who are not interested in fabric simply don't understand.

I used to feel that way in a real stationers too...alas I think they are gone, replaced by the big box stores.

I received $40 gift certificate for my birthday and a $20 from my Secret Santa to the LQS. I went shopping today and they were also having a sale. When I checked out I remembered that I had a filled frequent shopper card. I picked up 9 yards of fabric, a new ruler and only had to pay $20 dollars out of my pocket. That's my kind of shopping.

Don't you love it when it all comes together like that? When I go to town I usually stop at the fabric store. Even if I only pet the fabric it is a great stress reliever.

A great way to spend part of your day! It's fun to walk the aisles, look and feel, and discounts are even better!
