Some quilters in the past used to turn one block upside down because "only God is perfect." I can rest comfortably with the thought that I will never have to do that. None of my work will ever be "perfect."

I really did not mean to suggest that Walmart quilts are perfect, I was just using that as an example of mass production sewing. I was trying to point out that handmade quilts, made with love and care are always perfect in my eyes. If there are mistakes, no one but the maker usually notices them.

No matter how hard I try, there is always some imperfection that I see in my quilts. I think that we tend to focus on it with your eye always looking at that spot(s) and feel that we haven't achieved the perfection we are seeking in our own quilts. It's human nature and also part of our tendency to be humble in our comments about our quilt. But definitely we can attest to saying that our quilts are handmade or homemade for it's "one of a kind" with including the flaws we see in them. We are so fortunate that we are supported by the wonderful comments by other quilters here who praise our efforts to achieve perfection.

I think perfect is in the eye of the beholder, just like beauty. My quilts are not 'perfect' enough to enter quilt shows, but they are certainly 'perfect' enough for me and my family and friends to enjoy.
