Default Periwinkle with boarder MSQC ?

Has anyone started or made this quilt? I would like to know how big the finished blocks are. Thanks if anybody knows.

MSQC has tutorials for the Periwinkle Qlt on youtube. the blocks can range from about 6" to 10", and Jenny used pre-cuts of 5 1/2" and 2 1/2" squares and jelly rolls.

I bought the large template when it first came out and made all the blocks with my collections of 30's reproductions. THEN they needed the fix...first time I was ever displeased with MSQC....I really wanted a smaller version more similar to what was always behind Jenny but, thats ok....I had not thought to add a border but it sure may look nice...have fun and show us the results

I bought the larger template but haven't had time to do a test block.

I just ordered the small template, glue stick, and papers last week. I hadn't seen this before but the papers were a deal of the day and I was curious so I watched the video. Wow, I have a lot of mini-charms, charms and jelly rolls and this may be a great way to use some of them up. I'll let you know how it works.

Doesn't she say the size of block on the tute for the bordered periwinkle? If not go to MSQC website and inquiry there

No , she does not say but I am going to start cutting. They did say on the tute that the boarder is 1 1/2 inches. I will show you my first block which is 4 rectangles.

This quilt was in the first Block magazine. The directions in the magazine say layout is 11 blocks across x 13 blocks down. Another place says center of quilt is "approx. 57 1/2 x 67 1/2". Instructions are for cutting material 5" for borders and it says finished size is approx. 67 x 77. So finished block is approx. a little over 5". Hope this helps.
