I just came across the pillow, on Moda Bake shop website, for the birdie
    pillow.
Can anyone instruct me on how to download a free font for the letters
to make the name? I was able to find the font but not a clue how to go
    from there. Thanks

    For xp and Vista
    Click on this link, http://www.fontco.com/font-info/fontdinerloungy.php
Then click on the button that says Download: CLICK HERE
Another window will pop up click on SAVE
Then another window will pop up, Choose DESKTOP and then SAVE
another window will pop up click on CLOSE
Now the file is saved on the main screen of your computer
You can now close or minimize all the windows that may be open so you can get back to your desktop screen.
RIGHT CLICK on the icon for the file, and choose EXTRACT ALL
Extract the files to the desktop(this should already be chosen for you)
Once all files are extracted you can "preview" the font by DOUBLE CLICKING on the file. and then clicking on the icon that is a piece of paper that has a TT on it.
CLICK on START/WINDOWS ICON in the lower left hand corner of the screen.
    CLICK on CONTROL PANEL
    CLICK on APPEARANCE AND PERSONALIZATION
CLICK on FONTS INSTALL OR REMOVE A FONT

Now leaving this window open go to the file folder that is holding the TT font symbol with the name fdloungy GRAB THAT FILE by clicking on the file and holding the left mouse button and DRAG it into the FONTS folder once you have it over the fonts folder you can drop it by letting go of the mouse button!
Now you can close all the windows and go to any word progam and use the font!!!!! it will be listen in the font list!

If you need a picture TUTORIAL let me know I made one step by step as I typed this out (I had to do it and type at the same time figred I would save pictures too)! lol

Thank you in advance for going to all the trouble to help me out with this.
I have windows xp professional on my computer.
As you can tell, I am computer illiterate other than the basic operations,
and this is way out of my knowledge level, but will give it a shot.
we had to have our computer rebooted(?) so at this point we do not have
the microsoft office programs on it as it must have been overlooked when
reinstalling the items on the computer. So I will have to have my tech
install them back on for me if I need them to follow through with this.
I will attempt to go ahead anyway and hope that, I do not need them
    to do this.
    Again, thanks. sewlady31

sewlady, you shouldn't need any of the office programs to install and use the fonts. You can simply use them in WORD!

just in case, to get to word,

Click on start/windows icon in lower left corner
    click on all programs
click on or scroll over accessories
then there should be a program called either WORD or WORDPAD click on and that you can use it to type the name, then change the font, and change the size of the letter. For a name pillow I normally set my font to between 300-500 to change the number this high you have to type the nubers into the size bar!

If you need more help let me know!!!

Sometimes Word is hiding in a "Microsoft Office" folder under Programs.

    Thanks
When I pull up the fonts selection the loungydiner selection does not show
    as an option.
The icons seem to be in the proper screen, but it does not show it as an
option, did I miss something? It just shows the Arial print type and not
    the loungydiner font. Help?
Thanks for all your help it is much appreciated. sewlady31

    thanks moonpi,
I can't seem to find any of the Microsoft office programs on my programs
menu. Could be that it was not installed when I needed to have my
computer rebooted. I did find the wordpad, but I can not get to bring up
the font that the designer had mentioned for the birdy pillow on the
    Moda bakeshop wesite. Sewlady31

go back into the fonts folder,

start, control panel, appearance and personalization and then fonts,

look through there and see if the font is listed they should be alpha order.

If its not try dragging and dropping it into there again!
