    Default Photo Memorial Quilt Question

Please give me your help. I'm making a photo memorial quilt. I plan to appliqué the photo fabric down on top of a quilt and I am unsure of how to quilt it together without distorting the photos. There will be some photos of closeup face shots. The largest photos will be 10" x 10". Any help you are able to give me will be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Whenever I’ve made a memory quilt I always sashed the blocks/pictures so I wouldn’t have distortion. Worked for me, good luck.

When I worry about distortion, I use fusible interfacing. My photo quilt

I think I would rather use small pictures and use sashing. I hope to not ever make one.

I recently made one and I didn't feel like the pictures were distorted with the quilting. But the quilting was done on my home machine and was straight line quilting Honestly I think it depends on the picture and the size. My pictures were fairly large. I had sashing between them
