That's great. I wish I had that will power! My New Year's resolution was to use what I had & not buy any fabric. Okay so I broke that rule 6 times already!

I have been to quilt shop three times since ready this topic and have not bought any fabric. Guilty feelings about stash!!!! Still not sure i'm on board though. Just going to see what happens.

Although I'm not at the point that I'm ready or willing to take a plunge as drastic as a "no-buy," I am buying a lot less lately. Although it's true that prices of everything have gone up, that's not the biggest reason.

The biggest reason is that I have a stash big enough to do a lot with. Nothing like some of the ones seen here, but big enough that I can pull whole quilts from, or almost. It's a great feeling! Had I been on a "no buy" or buying only what I absolutely needed earlier, I wouldn't have this stash to choose from.

Scrap quilts being so in style right now also makes it a lot easier. Where once I might have bought a yard or two of a fabric, now I'll only get 1/2. Sometimes I'm actually using up large pieces for backing just to be rid of them. Using 2 yards of the same fabric in one top now seems like a challenge!

Ran into my first big hurdle after accepting your challenge.
I want to make a Halloween quilt and I have a very limited amount of orange fabric. After much debating and temptation, I decided to use purple instead of orange. It feels so good to be a winner!
