Picture Quilt
I am in process of making a picture quilt but finding when I zigzag around the photo which is printed on June Tailor photo fabric, my fabric bunches in the zigzag. I spoke to the sewing Machine store and they said use a paper stabilizer--has anyone had this problem? Stabilizers I found aren't carried in stores--have to be ordered by mail. Do you know if they work?

Dear ManiacQuilter2--I adjusted tension and got smooth zigzag, then used copy paper on back and looked fine. But when I tried to remove the paper, the stitches went all wonky. Is there a trick to removing the paper other than just pulling it off? Should I wet it with a damp cloth first?

I use copy paper for all my machine embroidery then soak it in a bucket of hot soapy water, sometimes overnight. The paper comes off much easier, and with heavy embroidery I will scrub the paper off with a soft scrubbing brush, no damage whatsoever.
