    Default Piece with white thread?

I usually piece with cream or tan. I have a quilt with white pieces and red. Do I piece with white? Will that look ok on the red?

Do a test run with some scraps, press the seams like you usually do, and then decide,

I use grey a lot. Kinda splits the difference.
But I really don't think it will matter too much with the red.you just don't want the color to show through the white.

Don't normally see the piecing stitches so you should be good. Besides variety is the spice of life.

Like you, I usually piece with cream or tan thread. I use Aurifil thread. Today, I am piecing print fabric to white strips. I am using white thread and am pleased with the result; but I think cream thread would work just as well.

I piece with white on every color. I know I should use black for dark colors but I never do. It's never been a problem.

I too piece with white; old habits die hard!!! I did use black thread to piece with on 2 different quilts because there was lots of black and dark fabrics in them. NEVER AGAIN!!! It was impossible to see the seams and having to use the seam ripper was a nightmare.
