    Default pieced quilt

    Just got this quilt pieced I don't think I will put a border on just binding I am also thinking I will do feathers in the blocks

    The blue sashing would be enough border for me. What I would do, is to use the blue print for the right and left side binding and the light blue for the top and bottom binding.

    I'm not a big fan of feathers, but when you have an angular pattern, the feathes help soften the overall look.

    Love your quilt top, sometimes you just don't need borders. Hope you will show pics after its quilted.

    I agree. No borders. The sashing tells the story. I like the idea Grannie Annie gave for bindings. I love the colors and fabrics!!

    Very pretty quilt. The best reason I can think of for adding borders is that they will take the brunt of the force when pulling your quilt around, say when making the bed or pulling it up under your chin at night. Otherwise, the seams of the blocks will take the wear and tear and possibly come apart sooner. It would be easier to repair or replace a border than an intricate piece.

    Ohhhh, those colors and the pattern are beautifully complimentary. Very, very pretty and I think feathers would be wonderful. I don't think you can hardly have enough feathers.
