    Great idea. I'm going to do that soon. Have enough fabric for fronts of shams, but didn't know what the back would be. I do like this idea though instead of shams. Doesn't require extra pillows!!!!!

    I usually do but not always. Depends on who the quilt is for. If it's for a child I usually make pillowcases. For adults I make matching shams.

    not so much the shams, but usually a smaller throw type pillow or two for the bed or sofa the quilt is going to be on.

    Does anybody have a neat pattern for shams? I have been thinking of dabbling with them for my grand-daughters.
