Pillow Cases
#42
Pillowcases are so much fun and easy to do. I cut out 16 yesterday at my quiting day. The bodies are all sewn, the cuffs will get sewn on in the evenings this week. I cut the bodies 26 1/2" X WOF, and the cuffs 10" X WOF.
I'll post pix once they are all done.

Ohhhhhhhh. Now I understand. I like the second one, with the arrows pointing up.

I also find the Missouriquilt video very easy to follow. I am in the process of making 22 pillow cases for a sports team to take on road trips. Pillowcases are done and am now embroidering the players number on one side and the team name on the other side in "glow in the dark" thread. I think they are going to love them.

When I'm making cases for charity, I just buy a yard of 2 different fabrics. The case body will be 26-27 inches, the contrasting band will be 9-10", depending on how accurate the cut is. I usually have something to get the 3" contrast strip from my stash. If I want to give them as a gift, I call them "flip flop pillowcases" since the fabrics are reversed in the cases.

this is the best video on pillowcases that I have seen. She does a great job and gives dimensions... I just made one this morning. Quilter 1234
