Good for you ... I made pillowcases for friends and family for Christmas using this same tutorial. Makes great gifts.

Those pillowcases are so much fun. I made 8 of them for some of my Grandchildren for Christmas, they loved them.

That was great! I am ready to go home from work and sew up a bunch of pillow cases. It is a great way to use up fabric! thank you!

I have made those for Christmas presents. My cousin taught me how to make those. With the french seams. I love making them in hawaiian print. My friends just loved them. and when they see no seams they are just wondering how I did it. So nice to see a smiling face. Thanks for the link.

I love making pillow cases but I hate when the flange points toward the case instead of the hem. SOooo....After I do the hot dog thingy I repress the hem allowing enough room for the seam to go toward the case and the flange to point toward the hem. Then I make a little seam across the casing a very scant 1/4" from the flange. After that I go ahead and do the French seam thing and I'm done.

I LOVE making pillowcases from this tutorial. I like to make flannel cases and matching pj bottoms for Christmas. Every year everyone is ready for another set and like to see what new prints each will get.

A couple of years ago we made up "fun" cases for our troops that are in the hospital in Germany. It was from another forum. She is a school teacher and makes it her class's project. The kids love to make them with their hand prints.

I bought my serger so I could zip them out quickly.
