I just had foot surgery and why they give you a white stocking to put over your surgery area is beyond me but yes the area seeped a little. When I put it into the machine with other whites I sprayed it with Spray & Wash. It all came out and it had dried for a couple days before I washed it. Have also used peroxide to get rid of a stain too. Just enough till I see it working then I rinse it out so it doesn't take the color out too. Keep using it till the entire stain is gone, then launder as usual.

This happened to me when a wall hanging. I have no idea where the blood came from. I had my finished top fused to the batting. I gently pulled it back and put a terry cloth under it and dabbed on peroxide with another terry cloth. The stain came out with very little effort. Then I repeated the process with water to remove the peroxide from the fabric.
Hope you were able to get your stain out.

Yes, before it dries, spit works very well. After it dries, Biz works. Make a solution of Biz and water in a small container. Dunk the stained portion of the quilt into this container and let it set for at least an hour. Then look at it. If it's not all gone, soak it longer. Then rinse the Biz out of that portion.
I've always had very good luck with Biz.

As a retired nurse with 40 yrs of experience, hydrogen peroxide will remove blood from fabric. Just don't store it in anything but the original brown bottle-it will break down into hydrogen and oxygen if exposed to light, and you will be left with a clear container of water!
