Default pincushion-how do I do this

My Mom saw a pincushion made out of a strip of heavy material in the shape of a rose. Does anyone know of a pattern for this?

    A felt rose pincushion pattern/tutorial:
http://www.wikihow.com/Make-a-Felt-Rosebud-Pincushion You could enlarge the pieces and instead of felt, use self-faced fabric pieces.

Here's another rose made in crocheted chenille yarn:
http://www.free-crochet.com/detail.html?code=FC00707&cat_id=472 You have to give them your email address (sign up) to get to the pattern - I was a member at one time and they do have thousands and thousands of sewing, knitting and crocheting patterns, so it's worth it if you like that stuff.
