I went to the search section and found exactly what I am looking for, but don't know how to make it happen!! There are blocks with tall trees-made with one fabric, which is what I need. I can't get the background fabric to come out right. Is there an easy way to do this or is a paper piecing project? All help is greatly appreciated!!!!

So you WANT them 3.75" x 2.5" FINISHED? Or a different size?
Your block is a short fat rectangle. Shouldn't it be a tall skinny one?

ok, here's her quilt:

Are you making the same quilt? So you want it a square tree block?
Have you made your 9 patch blocks yet?
What size are those UNFINISHED?
Because that's what you have to match size-wise.
Adjusting the tree block is a lot easier.
You can see from her in-construction pictures that her tree and trunk were surrounded by larger pieces of the background.

Do you like any of these shapes?
They are the FINISHED size (proportionally) you said you needed.
You can also just draw a rectangle the size you need and draw the trunk and tree on it (which is basically all I did) so you get the proportions YOU want within the space.
