pineapple block
#1
I have so many scraps, and am tired of making log cabin, 4 patch, ect, ect...
I decided to make a Pineapple Block-16" and start a new quilt. It means the pineapples will be of different color families.
Has anyone ever done a pineapple block quilt in this way?
Let me know if I am on the wrong track or that it will be okay.

A quick-pieced pineapple block is one of the classes I teach....believe, me...I've made enough of them...it will be lovely....Pineapples lend themselves well to a scrappy look. I'd suggest just playing with your blocks after they are finished to arrange them in the most pleasing way. Your eye will tell how to do it so the colors are balanced. Go for it and be sure to post a picture.

Scrappy log cabins are great, so this one, which is a log cabin variation, should be great, too. It's cool you're taking it on, know you will love it!

Bonnie Hunter's Quiltville.com has a beautiful scrappy pineapple quilt along with other beautiful scrappy quilts.
Also, someone on board did a tutorial on a scrappy pineapple:http://www.quiltingboard.com/t-73955-1.htm
