a pink quilt - ideas please

What about a carpenter's star? I can visualize that in pink and lime. I'll enclose a picture of mine, though it is not that color combination...might be food for thought though. (Ignore my cat inspector. He thought I wanted a picture of him and his orange mouse toy.

If something like this interests you be sure to scroll down the comments. There is no pattern but she does give the size of the squares she used and she says she based it on a Kaffe Fassett design. I think this is an awesome design and would look great in the colors you would like to use!

Thanks Cathy. That's a nice quilt. I have thought about doing a 2-colour quilt, and this one looks more interesting to make than some I've seen. Funnily enough I have a UFO Hunter's Star which is almost exactly the colours you'e used here, the muted pink and brown/terracotta, and it looks wonderful - must finish it one day!

There are a couple of interesting quilts here.
My favorite idea, however, is a vortex quilt. Can you imagine this in fuschia and green??? I think it would be so awesome, and it would definitely make a statement! And even though it looks difficult, it absolutely is not. I've made one and have another in progress. PM me if you want more info.

Yes, I agree. Kaffe Fassett uses a few very dark colours in his mostly-medium value quilt. On this one I might go for a deep burgundy or very dark green - I've pulled out one or two among my possible fabrics.

That's lovely Dina and yes, it would work very well, as I want the quilt to be 6ft square. Quick to make too... I love the simplicity and clean lines. Thankyou.

Good old Trip Around The World for me I've done two "one color" quilts. A red one and an orange one (Sons request).
It was an amazing lesson in color. You can control the color range and if you lay it out light to dark or the reverse you will have a beautiful radiant color burst that requires no further focal point work.
