I had to quit taking them to quilt workshops, everyone wanted to borrow just a few and I never got them back. :?
How many did you need for a king size??

I have four packages now, that's plenty for me. I machine quilt mostly in the ditch or 1/4" straight line echo or crosshatching.

I tried the ear plugs on 6 pins. They stayed on okay, but didn't like how the quilt didn't lay flat in the areas I used them. Safety pinned areas remain flat. I don't think I'd order Pinmoors unless had a chance to try first.

That's interesting. I haven't tried the ear plugs yet, but maybe the quilt bunched up because the ear plugs are larger?
I see slight bunching up using the pinmoors too but not enough to bother me.

You know, they probably could be cut in half.
    Arent' you clever!!!
The size they are now makes them easy to hold, but you're right, the pin doesn't get pushed in very far.
    thanks, I'll try it.

I will have to follow this topic. I'm interested in them, but they seem a little expensive.

I bought a bag after reading a post on here and I love them! They are working great and I just pin a large section and move them to the next section as I can.

I just cut a couple in half and they work just as well!
I think I'll only cut a few and see how well they stay on while I'm moving the quilt around, etc.
    But it's a great idea...thanks again
