    Speaking of pins, while I was at JoAnns fabric, I saw a lot of safty pins, but not one with the bent shaft used for basting. Are these something you hafl to order. I'm not sure I have enough to bast a lap Qt. I have different sizes,and large Qting strieght pins to help out. Just curous.

    we probably don't use enough pins., We tend to get too confident in our ability to do accurate peicing, or get in a hurry.

    ......and then when you get a whole bunch of different kinds of pins in a box, sort them and toss those out that you don't enjoy using, or if they get bent don't try to straighten them out as I do, or if they get dull, toss.

    I went out and bought new ones recently and threw the old ones away. Much less frustrating.

    ...and especiall if you pin baste.,.toss those out that punch a big hole in your quilt.
