Count me in too! I started making pinwheels from the MSQC video ages ago. They are supposed to be for my little GD, but I sort of lost interest. This is just the impetus I need. Thanks!

OK, I would like to be in this one. I will be taking a short break in March to have my left hip replaced. Guess I will have to make two pinwheels a day til the 11th and start up again when I feel up to sewing again. I pedal with my right foot so maybe I won't be out long. Thanks for hosting this. I love pinwheels.

I will be making pinwheels the way you suggested. Have been wanting to use that method. Why not do them the easiet way?! Sounds good to me. :-D

OMG! I am new for sure on this quilting deal. I think sometimes what am I in for. I might need a book quilting for dummies. HA!! I did some practice pinwheels to go by and ask my how many time i had to take apart. O well I guess I will learn that way but I did do it.
    Thanks, for listening

    Welcome all of you!
I made a test block today using the sew around the edge method.
I started with an 8 inch block expecting to end with a 9 1/2" unfinished block. It came out 10" which would make a 9 1/2" finished block. I have no idea why.
I rewatched the video and noticed near the end when she was just finished sewing the block together that she said the block could be 5 1/2" or 6" block depending on the size block you start with. She started with a 5" charm block so I don't know why she didn't know how much the block would measure.

I'm confused now but I will make another over the weekend and see what that measures.
It won't matter to me what size they end up AS LONG AS THEY ARE ALL THE SAME SIZE!

Has anyone else tried a block?
I don't know if the chart is wrong but it must be, it couldn't be me! :-D
