The first is supposed to have less bulk, the second is supposed to be better for matching seams. Does anyone have experience in both?
I press to the side for the quarter blocks then press open when I get two quarter blocks together to put with the other strip of two!
    Confused yet?
    :D
That's what I'm doing too. Everyones blocks look great. I love to see the variety and how different each one looks.

Hope it is not too late to join in! I have done four pinwheels using the sew around method. Really enjoying using those charm squares!

I am doing all different reds and thinking of keeping the white with some red design in it the same. Have lots of that but not enough reds to do all the same. I did this one with the sew around method. Also looking at doing a few baby quilts with these so can change the color throughout this project. If each block turns out like my first I will be happy.

I love the red block! Are they all going to be the same?

Thanks for your technique about making your blocks the sew on the diagonal method Little RoO.
I'm still using the sew around the edges method. I'm kind of disappointed with my blocks. I bought them for the 10" size and I am finding out they are mostly 9 3/4 x 10 so I'm cutting to 8" and last night I found I can't cut straight or sew straight!
    Hopefully today will be better.

Keep up the great work everyone!

No it's not too late to join, just make an average of 1 a day! Sounds like a vitamin!

I posted one of my blue/blue flower pinwheels earlier. I decided to change the blue, it was too bright for the flowers. Plus I added 3 more combinations. Here they are:

I like the color combination you are doing. Very nice.

Ok I'm ahead by a few days LOL!!! Figured while I had the time would make a couple extra. I know somedays I won't have time to even make 1. Have my blocks all cut and sitting by the machine to sew up.
Figured I'd share my first 5.
