    Happy quilting everyone!!!! ;-)

I have 10 done so far so I am posting some of them. I am doing scrappy with white as the second color. I cut my squares 5 7/8", placed right sides tog. drew a line and sewed 1/4" either side of it. My finished block will be 10".

Here is what I have done so far with about 100 more to go. Won't post another picture until I get the top together. These aren't arranged how they will be sewn- just showing what I have finished so far. Plus still working on my larger pw quilt that I showed when this all began. Still gathering fabrics for more blocks around the edges and trying not to have any two fabrics alike. If I can finish the green one though by April 30th, I will be pleased. These start off with 4 inch squares.

Mary O. OK! I'm a dummy and trying to learn, I'm new at this quilting but I need pic steps to see if I can do them better than the sew around method. I would like to try your way maybe they easier. I bought a embroidery machine two years ago, done that wanted to try other things now. My friend told me about this pinwheels and I signed up thinking what have I got myself in. But have had fun doing pinwheels, but if it a eariser way please help. Thanks

That's the way I do it!
I tried sewing all around one block but found I couldn't judge that 1/4" from the edge to turn. Either started the seam too fat or too thin! :-D
I did mine this way too. It is easier to keep the squares flat this way.

I finally took some pics last night of the blocks I had done at the time. Since then I've gotten another 30 blocks done(but haven't taken a pic of these). Since my blocks are only 7" finished, I'll need to make more than the 72 that I have cut out and ready to sew. Mine are ALL scrappy with NO two blocks the same.

My cat Tia giving her approval of what I have done so far!!

dkabasketlady,,, Thanks for posting your scrappy, mine is also scrappy but I was worried about some of the colours. I love how yours is coming together, nice work. Tia seems to like it as well.
