Default Place to buy soft clothesline for coil bowls?

Where does one find soft clothesline to use in making coil bowls. When I tried if before I kept breaking my needle when it hit the clothesline.
Is there an alternate to use instead of clothesline?

try hardware stores. You could also try cording by the yard at fabric stores. If you're going to stitch them anyway.

Are you using a jeans needle? I just use clothesline from wally world with no problems.

My DD makes these bowls and sells them. So, I started buying the clothesline at JoAnn's with my 50% off anything c/o's and had quite a few packages for her. She tried to use one and said that it was just too stiff, so I had to take back all of them, glad that I had the receipts. I really don't know where she buys her clothesline but I will try to remember to ask her what works for her.
