    I like the InsulBrite because it's firm and won't move when stitched.

    I also like to use bits of double knit fabric for the backing and then skip the batting. Works well for mug rugs and placemats.

    http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/ws/eBayISA...m=250674884982 A quilting tutor recommended this and I find it so great, especially for FMQ; hand quilting and decor items and so reasonably price and BTW ignore the "clean by Dry Cleaning only" it washes great when in a quilt :thumbup:
