Jordan, I do like to have the scraps blend with each other somewhat and compliment too. A little on the controlled scrappy side. It is addicting once you start and sometimes anything goes. Try a small project to see if the fun is there for you.
Maviskw, I've "made fabric" with crumbs and pieces too. Then they can be cut into shapes or squares and used to enhance other quilts or stand alone. So many possibilities.

Julia, What a fun project! I have been so tempted to join in on this one but my time won't let this happen right now. Good use of scraps and maybe one or two colors to hold it together. Good luck and have fun.

If you can look at values, light and dark, maybe assign a color or two that holds everything together you might get that imagination of yours a push. there really isn't a right or wrong way with this fun stuff. Good luck thinking about it.

Tartan, Irishgal and Lovestoquilt, so good to know you all enjoy this fun part of our craft. How did you get started with it and were you concerned about how your quilts would turn out? It's hard to explain how satisfying it can be to rescue those little pieces of fabric and really use them.
