Adorable .. I think I may have to put those on the bucket list to get done for 2015. Adorable for sure, maybe even a few lap quilts ....

Can't help with any ideas for quilting, I just wanted to pop in to tell you that the quilt is adorable.

LOVE this quilt and all the ideas for quilting. I've been on the lookout for a quilt pattern for my 13mo granddaughter, and found some but I think this is IT! I read the directions but she doesn't say what size the background sq is or the finished block and I'm not a math techie (yikes and I quilt?) ... what size is the background sq? I've been even thinking of using my scraps for around the sqs so they wouldn't need to be 2.5insqs ... just thinking...

I suppose you could use your own measurements---my black blocks are 10.5" to begin, but the kitties would look as good on 12" blocks. This is where you use your math--determine how large you want the quilt to be and make up the difference with sashings and borders. It is not really rocket science.

Very cute! I agree with outlining the cats and then maybe straight line on either side of the seams between the blocks?

I think I would outline all of the cats and then echo that in the black areas. Maybe do a doodle FMQ in the sashing. It would be easy and not take away from your cute little kitties

Mermaid, I would echo around the cats in black thread - it will blend in with quilt and add more texture to the area - that way you are highlighting your quilt and your kitties more than the quilting itself. In the borders - any kind of quilting filler would work - maybe a swirl or circles. I hope you show us your quilting.

Oh my that us the cutest ever quilt. I think just some simple SID would
Work just fine. Nothing to distract from those kitties. . I agree a echo
With black thread would work IMHO
