    I rinse small pieces in the sink and roll them into a towel. Then I press them dry. Sometimes, I do the Q-tip (or white cloth) rub test to see if any color comes off. If it doesn't I don't worry about it.

    If it seems that your amount in the kit might be a tight fit, you may want to opt for the rub test to keep from shrinking the pieces.
