Once again, thanks to everyone who responded. :D I am heading out in a while to go shopping for the fabric. :mrgreen: I will post some photos along the way and of course I will post pics of the finished quilt. Thanks again for sharing your ideas and opinions.

They're both so pretty, and although I like the flags best, I'm glad you're going to audition which one works better!

I like the way the flags pull your eyes around the quilt. They give movement and interest with plenty of areas for your eyes to rest.

I personally like the log cabin block the best- on paper. You might consider the overall feel at the State Fair this year...with all that is happening in our country and considering this is an election year...it might pull your quilt over the top to have the flags in the corners. I'd definetly make both..audition..then decide.

wow love your pattern i like them both i like the flags it makes the pattern stand out more but then i like the log cabins it gives it warm feeling

Log cabin is my vote. Either way it will be GRAND!
