Please help, Singer 1191 D300A bobbin trouble?
Okay so this thing has been a problem since I got it. Finally got it serviced and it was running fine. Took the bobbin out to reload and put it back in and now the top thread won't catch the bobbin thread. Is there a certain way you're supposed to put the bobbin in? (I've never had to take it out before) I know it's something simple that I'm missing but I just can't figure it out. Oh, when I first put the bobbin in and then turn the needle to get my bobbin thread up that works just fine but when I go to actually run it, it won't sew/catch. Please help!

Do you have a manual for it? There is one on manualslib.com that isn't the greatest, but the instructions for loading the bobbin in the bobbin case can be found at https://www.manualslib.com/manual/36...?page=4#manual

ETA I usually download the pdf and then I can enlarge to read it better.
What system of needle are you using? It shows on the left side of the page that I linked to. It should be a 135x65.

Here's a link with some good pictures. https://www.ebay.com/itm/26589343304...MAAOSwTWJiJjR-
Looks like the needle threads from right to left -- sideways. And the bobbin has the cut-out towards the top.

[QUOTE=OurWorkbench;8580903]I down loaded the 191D manual from singer.com. The 1191D looks to be a newer version of the 191D. Both have the long groove on the left, which would mean that they thread from left to right.
You are correct Janey! Thanks for catching that!
