I hope I’m posting a picture of the quilt top I’m working on, it’s for my granddaughter’s graduation. I need suggestions on how to quilt it, I’m not good at free motion quilting and would like to do something special in the boarders. Would it be odd to machine quilt the inside and hand quilt the boarders. I don’t have time to hand quilt it all? What colour thread would you use to quilt this? All suggestions will be much appreciated. God Bless, Pastor Pat

I don't see the pic yet but I think as far as mixing hand with machine quilting, sure you can! It's your quilt, do it the way that works best for you :)

Will give suggestions as soon as I see the picture. I have mixed hand and machine quilting and it was fine. I have also tied the inside section of a quilt and FMQ the border.

No pic, but lots of people mix machine quilting with hand quilting. Do what works!

One of the quilts I made I did both hand quilting and simple machine quilting with my standard sewing machine and it looks great. No quilt police here so do what you want to.
