My mom is trying to identify the quilt pattern on this quilt. She would also like to know when it was possibly made. Thanks for your help

Love the bold colors used in the quilt - sorry I can't help you with the name

It looks like a variation of the Carpenter's Wheel. I can't really see the seams, but it looks like the maker used templates for larger whole pieces of fabric than the usual Carpenter's Wheel.

The "original" Carpenter's Wheel is made out of diamonds and squares where this one has a pentagon and triangle.

This variation - I tried to mimic the colors somewhat:

This would be the original Carpenter's Wheel

Materials look like something out of the mid 1960's - the kind of stuff I used to use to make clothing with. I'm no expert in dating material or quilts, but this should get you started.

Is it machine quilted or hand quilted? That will also help in dating the quilt.

I think they are feedsacks. I have seen some pretty wild stuff on them.

I think it looks like 60's fabric, too.

Isn't that the "Crown of Thorns" pattern?

You got me...now I gotta go spend the evening at the bookcase looking thru pattern books!
