FYI: I use my computer for everything and if I want to do any math or graphs, I use the Microsoft excel program.

When I did my Trip Around the World, I used 2 1/2 inch strips. I decided that if I ever did another, I would use larger strips. I think a 3 inch strip would look just as good and would be soooo much easier!

I'll include a picture of mine, if I can find one.

Hi CMagee84: I checked my E. Burns book and you cut the fabric 4" wide, width of fabric (6 different fabric for a crib quilt, etc.). Then you sew the 6, 4" units, side by side. When finished, you fold the sewn unit into a tube of sorts, then cut the tube in 2 1/2" strips. Depending on where you cut the strips, your pattern forms. Sew one half of the quilt, then the second and voila. Clear as mud? My avatar is the lap size (about 54 x 77")

I second this! I would have "firsted" it but SouthPSTitches beat me to it. I made four also using her pattern and each one was easy and looked great and was very quick to do.
