In your first post you said you cut 4-1/2" strip and now you say 4-1/4". Which did you cut?

The math would say that it should be two 2-1/2" and one 4-1/2"

    I did use 4 1/2 strips.
Another post said they use 4 1/4.

To tell you the truth, having made many Bargello that always suggest sewing a tube, I never do, I sew sets instead. When I cut, I want to make sure I can see all the fabrics line up on the acrylic ruler. If they don't, then at that point I can find and fix the problem. I HOPE this helps. GOOD LUCK!!!

I had the same problem when I used the tube technique. I ended up squaring everything up to the same size. That worked but it made the overall dimensions a little smaller. So I just added an extra border to compensate.

It is so hard to make suggestions without seeing exactly what you're doing. My best suggestion is for you to watch the MissouriQuiltCo tutorial, compare what you're doing to the tutorial and maybe you can figure it out.

I looked at the tute that was posted and that was the one I used so I guess I just didn't remember the right measurements. Hope I didn't confuse anyone. Sorry.
