Depends. I have been thinking about fabric costs. I decided that if I did a "quilt trip", I would spend X amount. Gas, motel, meals, admittance fees (if any) & quilt items purchased on the trip.

Thus, I can spend the same X locally on fabric I LOVE, but am too cheap/frugal to buy at reg prices.

If you are overwhelmed by your stash, or have made a stop spending decision, don't go.

If you have X to spend, take it in cash (no checks or plastic) & GO.

Another thought, you could buy only "support" fabric- blenders, solids, backings. Things that we sometimes have to go buy to fill in our stash plannings.

Sorry, we have a LQS that is closing and she's starting her liquidation sale. I'm having trouble dealing with myself so afraid I can't help you. As expensive as everyone says fabric is up there, I really, honestly do think you should go and check it out!!!

I do have to get 16 yards of fabric for the Glacier Star pattern.... that may be a good time to get it. I'll have to talk to my mom and see if she wants to come with me.

I can't talk you out of it. These days, I only buy fabric on sale and 50% is a very very good sale.
