My favorites are: selecting the pattern/design and choosing fabric and hand sewing the binding.

Let's see. I love looking for a new to me pattern, also love picking out the fabrics and being able to change my mind several times before deciding on the most beautiful (to me); then I get excited cutting out those neatly stacked squares, triangles and strips. But then I can't wait to get several blocks put together so I can see how it is going to look. Then, oh my onto the quilting!!!!!!!! Love quilting!

Piecing is my 2nd favorite thing about quilting. What I really love is when it is finished and I can add embellishments, beads, 3D flowers, lace, buttons, etc..........................

Last year I would have said picking the fabrics and piecing, but I have changed my mind, and my new passion is quilting (though I am a complete novice) It is fun.

Piecing the blocks and piecing the top. Don't like to sandwich or quilt the quilts.

I enjoy pulling the fabrics for a quilt. It's exciting to see how colors interact with each other. And I also like to do the hand stitching of the binding. I love how it gives such a finished, complete look to the quilt. But then, I've always enjoyed hand sewing.
