    I apply in small sections and apply heavily and works fine. Don't use often but have loved using, especially for border design.

    I use stencils for free motion quilting but use a disappearing marking pen instead of chalk. I cannot mark a large portion at a time as it will disappear in a few hours. I prefer disappearing marking pens to the marking pen you wet to make the marks disappear. They come in purple and blue. I use the white pen by clover that disappears by iron only on black or navy.
