At a Quilt Guild's Quilt Show Boutique, I saw a Prairie Point Purse that was gone before I could purchased it. If I remember correctly, the purse had Prairie Points sewn on both sides (maybe a hundred); was sewn on canvas; had sturdy shoulder straps and a zippered closing. Also, the purse was various shades of one color, in this case RED. The purse was approximately 14" long, 8" high and was lined. I've googled Paririe Point Purse Patterns and haven't found any that are even close to what I missed buying. I hope my description is good enough for some responses. Thanks much.

A guild member made a tote covered in prairie points. She made the continuous prairie points for a class and just sewed them on to a canvas tote she bought in the craft section. It was very pretty. I've seen the purses made with ruffles, I guess subbing the prairie points for the ruffles may work?

Hi, Belles.hold. Have you found a pattern for the prairie point purse? I know this is about 6 years late, but last night at quilt guild someone brought in a purse that had prairie points sewn all over it that they had made. It sounds like your description in your original post. This pattern was by materialgirlsofflorida.com. I've tried accessing the website twice in the past 24 hours but the site is temporarily down. I hope they get it back up soon as I would like to order the pattern.

No, Mannem, it isn't. The one I saw was rectangular shaped and had a shoulder strap. I hope I can find the patteren, I really liked it. so far the website isn't back up yet for materialgirlsofflorida. I did find they are out of Eustis, Florida.

Today I found the website for the prairie point purse I mentioned a few days ago. The only disappointing thing is they don't have a brick and mortar store and they don't sell their products on the internet. They travel to all the quilt shows in Florida to sell their wears. Here is the website http://www.materialgirlzofflorida.co...-Patterns.html . There is a video demonstrating the prairie point template to make the purse, also on the site is a schedule of the different quilt shows they will be at.
