Prairie Style Quilt
I want to make a quilt for my dear SIL and she loves Mission furniture. I am looking for a pattern in the style of Frank Lloyd Wright. Can anyone help me? I have searched for books etc. I will happily purchase a book or a pattern if someone can point me in the right direction. Thanks so much and enjoy the Spring!

I have a book of Frank Lloyd Wright patterns and they are INCREDIBLY hard. My DH purchased it for me when he toured one of Wright's houses. These are quilts based on some of the stained glass in his various houses. DH has asked several times, when I will make a pattern from the book but I am totally intimidated. I think that the patterns are do-able but the directions are minimal and there are only drawings of the elements, no photos. I have also heard that the measurements and cutting instructions leave one desiring more info.
This is the book that I have. http://www.fallingwatermuseumstore.o...ght/4,837.html
If you google Frank Lloyd Wright quilt pattern book, you will get several hits including images of some completed quilts. Having looked at them, I may just try a small hanging from the book.

Here are some on Pinterest, but other than the info referenced by GingerK, I know of no specific books or patterns. It sometimes comes down to fabric selection and creative piecing to mimic a "stained glass" effect.

If you don't want the entire book, Jackie does sell individual patterns.

Look at Modern quilts. Quiltcon just ended. there are many photos on various web sites. President of our Modern quilt guild was just there; she has some posted on her blog. Christa Quilts. Love the Frank L Wright quilts, but like you they intimidate me. Way to many tiny pieces. Good luck & keep us posted.

Ooooh I love the quilt Peckish showed. It looks very FLW/ Arts & Crafts to me. There are many simple geometric patterns out there, I think if you choose the right fabrics (stained glass looking would for sure work) you would have great success! Good luck!
