    i have been perusing the websites w/ hand dyes & was wondering which [if any] hand dyes were preferred by the majority of quilters.....many of them look pretty much the same, however i'm sure there are differences in quality. what is your top choice? /website? thanks 4 your help!

    I haven't used any yet, but I LOVE the stuff this dyer produces!! She has an etsy shop and is selling something like "charm" packs and I think I am going to purchase some to play with!

    For me, it is choosing the dye according to how you have to use and process it.
    Some use less hazardous chemicals than others. Some are just heat set... Since I have to dye indoors, my choices are using dyes with the least amount of chemicals :D:D:D

    Duh, I totally read your post wrong!! I will follow this thread, though, because I know I would like to try dying soon!

    actually, molly, you were right on. i suppose i needed to say "finished fabric". {stitchindye does have some interesting pieces.}
    i keep bouncing back & forth from one site to another to try & determine which hand dyes are the quality ones---i've seen some fabrics whose QUALITY is crappy......and was wondering if anyone had HIT on fabrics they were really pleased with.......
    me thinks this is what i was asking.....
