I just crawled out of my sewing room after a full morning of bliss... my sewing "suit" consists of:

    T-shirt (no bra)
    Shorts
No shoes, socks, or slippers (must have direct contact with the foot control)
A pair of magnifiers clipped to my glasses

I consider the day a complete success if I didn't have to get more dressed than that!

Since I took up sewing, hubby has gotten progressively better at cooking

My cleaning day is Wednesday. Slop on the floor Thursday and it waits until the following Wednesday. I'm busy quilting and sewing fun things.

My best laugh of the day, even the year thus far. Heck, I'm 68 and lucky I can get up and dressed in the morning so forget the hair fixed and lipstick on.

Anyone remember when women were told a great surprise for your husband back then was to wrap yourself in Saran Wrap, that's it, and meet him at the door. Mine would go running in horror at the sight :D

Wow, I just realized I was a little girl when that was written. My Mom interpreted her manual differently. She got the house clean by her girls and madly sewed in her pj's and robe until she finished her marvelous creation.
I practice tolerance. I clean weekly not daily and the dishwasher takes care of the dishes. Now if someone would just go out and do the shopping I wouldn't mind taking a break to cook.

I raise my hand for quilting in my jammies. Of course I also do housework in jammies sometimes -- but not before quilting!

I read the excerpt from the 1949 sewing machine manual to my husband and he laughed heartily, God bless him. Of course he would probably laugh harder if I wrapped myself in Saran Wrap.

Glam up ladies, but don't bother getting out of bed. You can do it all!
